The Artist

Claire Ducreux is a French street theatre artist and poetic clown, internationally recognised as a reference in her field.

Her stage universe moves between delicacy, humour and deep humanity, creating intimate performances that connect directly with the audience.

Through gesture, movement and a sensitive presence, she builds wordless stories that explore fragility, the beauty of small things and our relationship with others.

The Workshop

In this workshop, I propose to share—both artistically and on a human level—things I have learned and unlearned over nearly 30 years devoted to creating and performing, mainly in street theatre festivals.

We will take a short theoretical moment so that each participant can explore what they are looking for in street theatre,
and discover, in a precise way, which artistic world they feel called to serve.

We will improvise in the street and “converse” with the moment, with what is truly happening around us, without losing the thread of what we are doing.

We will warm up and stretch the body from a place of feeling.

We will work, through slowness, on very simple forms to bring attention to each movement and inhabit every moment.

We will prepare the body to allow emotions to emerge and invite genuine moments to arise.

We will enter that inner listening that helps develop awareness and presence.
