The Artist
Company Chameleon creates original and inspiring dance theatre from Manchester, touring across the UK and internationally.
Beyond the stage, they develop workshops, training programmes, and community projects, bringing dance into public space and connecting with all kinds of audiences.
Their work combines physicality, storytelling, and human connection, generating powerful experiences through movement.
The Workshop
Join the artistic director, Kevin Edward Turner MBE, and company dancer, Kadafi Mulula, in a two-day workshop to learn from their experience in the creation and performance of pieces for outdoor spaces.
During the two days, you will be invited to explore concepts such as The Hour of Performance, Location, Limitations, Opportunities, Public Body–Private Body, Intent and Purpose. Through the facilitation of Kevin and Kadafi, you will explore the dynamics of time, play with tension, and reflect on audience perception.
This is an opportunity to bring your creative ideas to life through task-based research and creation processes, and to work and learn with one of the UK’s leading independent dance companies.
